News Flash: Liberal Media Conspired Against Palin

No, really?

The same day Sarah was announced as Senator McCain's running mate in the 2008 elections, this blog was born. The very reason I began writing was that it appeared from the outset the liberal media was out for blood, and I felt it was something I could do--I could be one voice, perhaps representing many, in defense of this remarkable wife and mother who'd been chosen and was now very much under attack.

Turns out I was absolutely right. The same media that takes it's direct orders from the liberal left wing of the Democrat party immediately began conspiring to destroy Governor Palin. Over at The Daily Caller, Jonathan Strong has done his homework:

In the hours after Sen. John McCain announced his choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his running mate in the last presidential race, members of an online forum called Journolist struggled to make sense of the pick. Many of them were liberal reporters, and in some cases their comments reflected a journalist’s instinct to figure out the meaning of a story.
But in many other exchanges, the Journolisters clearly had another, more partisan goal in mind: to formulate the most effective talking points in order to defeat Palin and McCain and help elect Barack Obama president. The tone was more campaign headquarters than newsroom.

None of this news is shocking, it's exactly what we knew was happening. Anytime the left isn't able to find legitimate argument with a candidate, an all out character assassination is in order, and Sarah Palin was ripe for the picking.

I've said it a million times, and it bears repeating one more time: "journalism" as we knew it has long been dead. There's no such thing as ethics in "journalism", which is why so many bloggers have begun to take the place of the blowhards in the "mainstream" media. Reporters like those starring in prime time roles on many of the major networks are doing nothing more than advancing a progressive agenda, as evidenced in this piece of work. The sooner we realize it and turn them off, the sooner we can get rid of them and render them the completely ineffective pathetic hacks they already are.
